Cutting Puzzle Pieces

Anyone who is friends with me realizes that I would be one of the last persons that any self-respecting institution would place in a classroom full of three and four year olds. Yet the school that I am employed at decided that they were going to do just that.

Until yesterday I had worked a grand total of one day at the school. I had been praying that God would let me work. I had made the decision that I was going to trust God and when I needed work He would give me work. Whatever position the school needed me for that was where I would go. I know that God had my best interest in mind and the kids in the classroom that I would be subbing in.

October 6 at 6:28 am I awoke at the sound of my phone ringing. I quickly looked at the number. Realizing that it was the school I answered. "Erin are you free to sub today for pre-k?"

I groggily answered yes and wrote down the information that she told me about where and when I had to be at the school. I hung up the phone. It was at this point that  I realized that she had said that I would be subbing for pre-k. There was nothing to do but pray. I have no experience with teaching a group of little kids. One on one I am okay with, but 16! I prayed the entire time I walked/ran to work (I must admit that part of that praying was for God to help me get there on time because I left a little late).

Praise the Lord! He knows exactly what we can handle. When I got to the classroom there was an aid who told me that she was going to teach and that I just had to make sure the kids behaved. I was so grateful. I think that the majority of my day was cutting out laminated puzzle pieces for the kids to use on a latter date.

Wow! Glad it worked out for you. :)

I used to teach pre-k Spanish when I worked at OAKS. They were a fun bunch, but I was incredibly grateful that their teacher stayed and kept them under control for me!
